Heritage Plantation Golf & CC - closed
Laurel Oak, FL / 18 Hole Public
PROJECT NOTES
Situated among wetlands and tall pines and boasting elevation changes of over 100 feet, Heritage Plantation was one of Florida’s most unique and challenging golf courses. Selected as one of Golf Digest’s Top 10 New Courses for 2008, the course was well received. Unfortunately, this beautiful course is closed, a casualty of the 2009 economic recession.

Wetlands were a major consideration when routing Heritage Plantation. On the par five 9th hole, they run down the right side of the fairway before crossing in front and left of the green complex. There are numerous choices to make on the second shot: stay left, leaving a short approach over the greenside bunker; or, carry the cross bunker on the right, taking the wetlands and bunker out of play on the third shot.
